2018 State Track In The Books

RAPID CITY, S.D. (TodaysKCCR.com) — With temperatures heating up over the Memorial Weekend, area schools sweated out qualifying and finals of track and field events in various sites across western South Dakota.

After day one in Class AA, the Pierre boys team was in 15th place with three points while the girls stood in 7th place with 21 points.  For area teams, the Stanley County boys were in 8th place with 15 points, the Sully Buttes boys were in 3rd place in Class B.  On the girls side, Sully Buttes was in 7th place after day one in the B, Jones County tied for 13th and Philip and Potter County were tied for 26th.

After the Saturday finals, the Pierre boys finished with 18th point and 13th in state while the girls tallied 27 points and wrapped up their season in 12th place.  Other area team;

Stanley County boys – tied for 14th place with 14 points in Class A
Sully Buttes boys – 14th place in Class B
Sully Buttes girls – 15th place in Class B
