After Bye Week, Chargers Look for First Win

The Sully Buttes Chargers had a much needed bye week last Friday and return to face the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots in Onida as they search for the first win of the season and start the second half of the year trying to make a push for the playoffs. The 0-4 Chargers are currently sitting outside of a playoff spot and will need to jump over seven teams to get the final playoff spot.

The Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots are 1-3 in Class 9B and are also currently outside of a playoff spot but did pick up its first win of the season against Waverly-South Shore last Friday in a 36-12 win.

Head Coach of the Sully Buttes Chargers Mark Senftner says the bye week came at the right time…

Senftner says there were a lot of positives to take away from the last game against Herried/Selby Area…

And Senftner says the Patriots are feeling good after their first win last week on the road…

The Chargers and Patriots have kickoff at 7:00 in Onida. The voice of the Sully Buttes Chargers DT Meyer and Lewis Hofer will have the call on Country 95.3 and pierrecountry.com as well as on YouTube at KCCR Sports.
