C-SPAN will be C-ing the Capital City to start the week. The political cable network is bringing a customized 45-foot motor coach to Pierre today and tomorrow as a part of the cable channel’s 50 Capitals Tour. The bus will welcome visitors during events over the two days including an interview with Governor Dennis Daugaard on Tuesday morning. The newly built bus is going to all 50 state capitals and will wrap up in November for the 25th anniversary of the Bus program. The vehicle includes access to an interactive experience feature C-SPAN programs, a smart TV and classroom area for students and adults. a high-def TV studio for taped or live programming and other additions. The C-SPAN Bus will be on display Monday at the T-F Riggs and Georgia Morse schools. Tuesday the bus will be on the south side of the Capitol. Representatives of C-SPAN will be collecting video responses from visitors as a part of C-SPAN’s “Voices of the States”, which gives visitors a chance to share their viewpoints on state issues and what Washington leaders should do to address them.
