The Oahe Capitals finished out the preseason schedule over the weekend in Huron as they went 1-2 against South Dakota hockey teams.
On Saturday, the Capitals lost the first game of the tournament to Sioux Center in a tightly contested game, 6-5. Raef Briggs scored four times in the loss while Elliot Leif added the other in the loss. Kieran Duffy finished with 33 saves.
In the night cap, the Capitals won its only game of the weekend, beating the Aberdeen Cougars again 6-2. Andy Gordon this time had a hat trick for the Caps as Leif and Ashton Griese.
The Caps feel 2-1 in the final game of the tournament to the Huron All-Stars as Leif had the lone goal for Oahe.
Overall, the Capitals finish the preseason at 7-3. The first games of the season will be on Saturday and Sunday as the Caps travel to Watertown on Saturday and Huron on Sunday.
