The Oahe Capitals traveled to Mitchell on Saturday as they looked to finish their six game road trip successfully with five wins. Their last stop was in Mitchell as they took on the Marlins. Both goalies were stellar in net for the first period and both teams played to a 1-1 draw through two periods. In the third period, the Capitals were able to take advantage on the power play as Spencer Wedin gave the Caps a 2-1 lead before Talon Griese was able to score shorthanded and give the Capitals a 3-1 win over Mitchell and improved to 8-1 on the year. The Capitals outshot the Marlins 49-13 in the game and Tate Mueller notched his eighth win of the year on 12 saves.
The next day, the Capitals finally returned home after a month away from the Expo Center. The opponent was the Brookings Rangers. The Capitals were able to score the first goal on the rebound with Caden Davis finding the back of the net. In the second period, the Capitals controlled the entire game as Wedin scored twice and Davis once again scored and the Caps led 4-0 after two periods. Tate Mueller pitched his first shutout of the season as Capitals won 4-0 and improved to 9-1 on the year.
