(KCCR) — Another causality of the Covid-19 pandemic is loss of this year’s Casey Tibbs Match of Champions event. Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center Executive Director Kalyn Eulberg says shutting down this year’s PRCA-sanctioned Bronc Match on June 6th was not a decision the Casey Tibbs Foundation Board took lightly. She says health risks and uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic helped lead to the decision. She says the safety and health of community members, fans, cowboys sponsors and event volunteers are of utmost importance to the Center. The annual Casey Tibbs Foundation Tribute Dinner is still on the schedule for later this year. That event is set for November 7th. Nominations are due for the Tribute Dinner by June 1st.
