(KCCR) — There is no induction at the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center. Executive Director Kalyn Eulberg says use of the phrase “Hall of Fame induction” on the agenda for an item the Fort Pierre City Council considered this week is causing confusion and misunderstanding by some. Information from that agenda had been used in some recent media reports. Eulberg says there is no Hall of Fame at the Center that rises above Fort Pierre therefore there is no need for the induction of anyone. She says what will happen at the facility November 2nd is the 30th annual Tribute Dinner. The program at the dinner will give recognition to six individuals who have exemplified Rodeo in South Dakota. As for the agenda item that brought the confusion, the Fort Pierre City Council gave approval to a temporary liquor license for the event on unanimous vote.
