(KCCR) — With a snow storm expected to have some sort of impact following Thanksgiving, the City of Pierre is asking residents to get ready as well. City Administrator Kristi Honeywell says the City is requesting that drivers get vehicle off of Emergency Snow Route streets and to use off-street parking until the storm moves past. Honeywell says the moving of vehicles off of Snow Routes will help with street plowing if it’s necessary. Based on current forecasts for Pierre, city street crews are planning to deploy sand and salt trucks on Friday with plowing to begin Saturday if necessary. The motoring public is also asked to drive with caution. Information on snow alerts can be obtained by email or test message by registering at public.alertsense.com.
