In Dakota Wesleyan’s first road conference game of the season, the Tigers had to battle through two overtimes to get the win against Dordt on Wednesday.
The Tigers jumped out to a nine point lead at the break but the Defenders came back in the second half to force the first overtime at 67-67. Nick Hardin, who returned from injury on Wednesday, led the Tigers with 21 points on the evening. Mason Larson notched a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Pierre native, Bradley Dean, came off the bench and played 24 minutes going 1-3 from beyond the arc finishing with four points and three rebounds for the Tigers who are now 3-1 and 2-0 in conference play.
The Tigers return home to host Hastings College in a GPAC showdown at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Corn Palace. Reminder, fans can only attend the game if they are on a guess pass list.
