(WNAX) — The sign-up deadline for the NRCS Agriculture Conservation Easement Program, or ACEP is December first. South Dakota program Coordinator Brandon Kottke says there are several options for landowners to consider as they sign up for the 2018 fiscal year ACEP funding.
He says landowners have shown a lot of interest in the program…
Kottke says landowners can get technical help from NRCS specialists to assist them in the ACEP process. He says just call the local county office for an appointment.
Kottke says if a landowner chooses the permanent easement option and is accepted into the program, NRCS will pay 100 percent of the cost. Should a landowner choose the 30-year easement, NRCS will pick up 75 percent of the cost.
