PIERRE — The South Dakota Department of Transportation is working with Hughes County on the County’s Master Transportation Plan Study. An important part in that process is collecting public input on the plan. Information on that plan is being presented through an upcoming online public meeting. DOT Planning Engineer Steve Gramm says information on the plan is available on at the website; hughescountyMTP.com. The website includes numerous documents connected to the Hughes County Master Transportation Plan Study and an opportunity to leave public comment on the plan. The study will address a full range of transportation options and issues that include considerations of pedestrian, bicycle, transit, freight and vehicle traffic. The online presentation is a seven and a half minute video on the website that explains the study. Written comments on the plan will be accepted between now and February 14th.
