Eastbound Sioux Avenue In Front Of Avera St. Mary’s To Become One Lane For Construction

A portion of Sioux Avenue in front of Avera Saint Mary’s Hospital will be down to one lane as construction work continues on the Helmsley Center Campus. Cody Sharrow with Journey Construction of Sioux Falls says the right lane of Sioux Avenue will be closed from near Mac Lane to just before the stoplight at East Sioux Avenue. The lane closure is to give construction workers a safety buffer from eastbound traffic. Eastbound traffic will stay open in the left lane. Both westbound lanes will remain open. Access to Avera St. Mary’s will be possible off Washington Avenue only as Sioux Avenue entrances will be closed. Sharrow says the lane closure will be in place until July 4th. Journey Construction has been working in coordination with the State Department of Transportation in regards to the lane closure.
