Executive Board Considering Longer Terms For Lawmakers

(WNAX) — The Executive Board of the South Dakota Legislature is advancing a proposal to consider changing legislative terms to four years from the present two years.

It would take a constitutional amendment to change legislative terms. Lawmakers are currently term limited to four – two year terms in either the House or Senate.
