The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse. The Council will consider approval of the consent calendar including meeting minutes for the November 20th meeting and two open container permits. Two public hearings will be held on two separate requests for the discharge of firearms. Councilmembers will consider a change order for work on a recreational trail and a payment request for the same project. The second and final reading will be held tonight on two new proposed ordinances. The ordinances are tied to proposed increases in utility rates and deposit fees for Fort Pierre city utility users. The introductory reading will take place for the 2017 Supplemental Budget and the Council will consider a temporary liquor license for the Casey Tibbs Rodeo Center for an event on January fifth. Councilmembers will also consider an agreement with the Pierre Electric Department regarding territory mapping and will meet in executive session. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six-P-M in the Stanley County Commission room in the basement of the Stanley County Courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.
