The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse. Councilors will consider approval of the consent calendar and will consider a memorandum of understanding with Hughes/Stanley County Emergency Manager Rob Fines for the Alert Sense mass notification system. The governing body will also consider an agreement with the Historic Preservation group regarding the Verendrye and Fort Chouteau sites. They will also consider ordinances on the 2018 utility budget and utility rates. The Council will consider 2018 liquor licenses and hold two public hearings for the discharge of firearms. They will also consider a resolution that would dissolve Tax Increment Financing District Two and a temporary liquor license request from the Silver Spur for an event at the Pat Duffy Community Center on December first. The Fort Pierre City Council also has on their agenda in pending business, items regarding 2016-2017 mobile home court licenses and an ordinance on utility services. The Council is also scheduled to meet in executive session. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at 6:30 PM. The meeting is open to the public.
