The Fort Pierre City Council is scheduled to meet tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse. The Council will consider approval of the agenda and declare any conflicts of interest before hearing reports of city officials. A public hearing will be held on request to discharge firearms in the city limits by the Dunes Golf Course. A resolution will be considered in New Business regarding the request by the Dunes to discharge firearms. Second reading will be held on two ordinances. The first is for alcohol licensing fees and the second regarding speed zones. Meanwhile three ordinances will be introduced by the City Council. They are the regarding the Supplemental Budget, Utility Budget and Utility Rates. Council members will consider 2019 Liquor Licenses and will set public hearings on December 3rd for liquor license requests by the Chateau, Chuckwagon and Chuckwagon package liquor. Other agenda items include a temporary liquor license request filed by the Silver Spur for an event on December 8th at the Pat Duffy Community Center, the surplus and salvage of transformers and a final payment on the Bad River Water Main Replacement project. The Fort Pierre City Council meets at 6:30 PM. The meeting is open to the public.
