Fort Pierre City Council To Meet Tonight

(KCCR) –The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse in Fort Pierre. The Council will consider approval of the agenda and declare any conflicts of interests before hearing reports from City officials. Two public hearings will be held to start the meeting. The first is for a temporary liquor license request filed by the Casey Tibbs Rodeo Center for an event on January first. The second is for a request to discharge firearms filed by the Dunes Golf Course. New business includes a resolution regarding the discharge of firearms and a proclamation marking Giving Tuesday. Second and final reading will be held for an ordinance revision regarding fireworks and the Council will consider lift assists fees with AMR ambulance. Council members will consider three bid awards related to the Verendrye Museum and will introduce three ordinances. One is the annual utility rate ordinance, the second for the Utility Budget and third is the 2019 Supplemental budget. The Council will also consider a 2020 liquor license request filed by Family Dollar. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at 6:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
