Fourth Shutout for Stanley County, Home Game in First Round of Playoffs

The Stanley County Buffaloes had a long shot of getting a home playoff game even with a win over Groton Area on Friday. As Head Coach Max Foth said it didn’t matter if they didn’t take care of business with a win. The Buffs got the 6-0 win and things fell into place as the Buffs are now the eight seed and have a home playoff game on Thursday.

The Buffaloes had multiple fumbles lost but the defensive pitched its fourth shutout in five wins to close out the regular season in a one score game the entire way. Only Miller/Highmore-Harrold was able to score on the Buffs in any win this year.

The Buffaloes will host McCook Central/Montrose on Thursday who went 4-3 and did not play in week eight. The Fighting Cougars lost the final two games of the year.
