Guthmiller To Sign Track Letter Of Intent To Compete At Northern

Sully Buttes senior Rachel Guthmiller has committed to compete in the track program at Northern State University.  Guthmiller finished second in the discuss at the state track meet last season as a junior, with a throw of 127’ 06”.

Rachel has also compiled an impressive athletic record, playing on the Sully Buttes girls basketball team—the Class B state champion the last two seasons, with a second place finish her freshman season.  She also has played on the volleyball team for the Chargers—who had three consecutive fourth place finishes the past three years.

Rachel is the daughter of Clark and Lisa Guthmiller of Onida.  Rachels older sister—Erica—was on a state tournament winning girls basketball team in the 2007-2008 seasons, and is also the music teacher at ABO school.  Rachel’s younger sister Angela is also a three sport athlete for the purple and gold.

At Northern, Guthmiller plans to study nursing.
