(KCCR) — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. Commissioners will consider approval of the agenda and of minutes from the November 18th meeting before moving on to new business. New business includes consideration of a snow blower purchase and a pickup purchase for the Highway Department that includes a one-way plow. The Commission will consider a public defender contract as well. Two planning and zoning items will come before Commissioners tonight. They include the introduction of a plat and re-plat and first reading the 2018 I-C-C Codes for adoption. Also on the agenda for Hughes County Commissioners is consideration of an employee assistance program, charges for ambulance lift services and a delinquent tax agreement. Commissioners will also discuss a County Health nurse agreement and letter to the Corp of Engineers regarding bank erosion at West Bend along with the Claims and hearing reports from liaisons and the County Manager. The Hughes County Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm in the second floor Commission Room. The meeting is open to the community.
