(KCCR) — The South Dakota Department of Health is reporting 107 deaths from the Covid-19 pandemic in the state and two of those being reported Friday are in Hughes County. Three deaths were reported from Pennington and one was from a Minnehaha County resident. Sixty-five people remain hospitalized because of Covid-19 and there are 886 active cases in the state. New central South Dakota cases include four in Lyman; one in Brule; six in Dewey and one apiece in Ziebach and Tripp Counties. Statewide active cases are down to 886 from 904 on Thursday. With the new totals for area counties Lyman is at 84 with 27 active, 56 recovered and one death. Brule is at 33 with nine active, 24 recovered and no deaths. Dewey has 33 with 32 active, one recovered and no deaths. Ziebach is at three with two active and one recovered and no deaths. Tripp is at 19 with three active and 16 recovered. Hughes is at 68 with 12 active, 54 recovered and two deaths. Stanley is at 14 with one active, 13 recovered no deaths.
