Lady Govs Volleyball See’s Season Come To An End

The Pierre Lady Govs volleyball team would see their season come to an end last night as they lost to Watertown in the Sweet 16.

The Lady Govs would get swept in this match losing 25-11, 25-20 and 25-17. With the win Watertown earns a spot into the state tournament in Rapid City, which will start next Thursday.

The Lady Govs ended their season with a 6-18 overall record and won two of their last 13 matches. Pierre had made it to the state tournament the last three seasons and this is the first time since Chris Swiden has taken over as head coach that the Lady Govs did not qualify for the state tournament.
