(KCCR) — The South Dakota Department of Health says a there are 149 new cases of Covid-19 being reported in the state Wednesday, but they also say that there’s been a delay in its normal daily data extraction. The new numbers released Wednesday are from Monday at one PM to Tuesday at seven PM. Case data is normally reported from one PM to one PM. Active cases statewide are at 903 and 46 people remain hospitalized. The new case information shows six new deaths and one of those is from a central South Dakota county. Lyman County along with Minnehaha, Lincoln, Brown, Roberts and Union has all reported one new death from the virus. As for cases, Lyman and Dewey Counties each have one new case. That brings Lyman County to 85 total cases with six active and 77 recoveries. Dewey County sits at 54 cases with 25 active and 29 recovered. The death toll among central South Dakota counties is now eight with three in Buffalo, two in Lyman and Hughes and one in Jackson. So far 129 people in South Dakota have died from Covid-19. Over 7600 people have recovered from the virus.
