(KCCR) — There are big increases in Covid-19 reporting data on Wednesday. State Health Department officials say 445 new cases were reported Wednesday. Active cases are just over 31-hundred while deaths from the virus are holding at 202. There have been 19-thousand 634 cases reported since the beginning of the pandemic and 16-thousand 324 cases have recovered. The state has surpassed its monthly testing goal by 25-percent with less than a week left in September. Hughes County saw 19 new cases Wednesday. Stanley and Hyde County had two, while Lyman County reported eight. There are four new cases in Buffalo and Dewey Counties, nine in Brule; five in Hand and one in Potter, Mellette and Haakon. Tripp County saw an increase of 15 new cases. At the state Women’s Prison in Pierre there are 109 positive cases with 57 negative tests and three recoveries among inmates. Five staff are positive with seven negative and two recovered staff.
