Noise Complaint Leads To Pierre Man’s Arrest

(KCCR) — A noise complaint led to the arrest of a Pierre man on multiple charges Wednesday. Pierre Police Captain Bryan Walz says officers responded to a report of a noise complaint in the 1600 block of East Dakota Avenue around 11:45 pm. As officers investigated the complaint, they made contact with 37 year-old Arnold Provancial Jr. Provancial tried to deceive officers by giving them a fictitious name because Provancial had an active warrant out for his arrest. Once police determined Provancial’s actual identification, officers attempted to take him into custody. As officers attempted to get Provancial into custody he resisted attempts to place him in handcuffs. Provancial also threatened the officers with physical harm after he was released. Provancial was arrested and transported to the Hughes County Jail on charges of Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, False Impersonation to Deceive Law Enforcement, Threatening Law Enforcement and the outstanding warrant.
