Oahe Capitals Begin Three Game Weekend with Mitchell

It’s the beginning of a long stretch run for the Oahe Capitals as they will play six games in the next 10 days. It begins tonight as the Capitals host the Mitchell Marlins in the second game between the teams this year.

The Capitals will face the Marlins on Friday, Sioux Falls 2 on Saturday and Aberdeen on Sunday. The Caps have wins against both the Marlins and the Aberdeen Cougars this year while yet to see Sioux Falls 2. The Caps beat Mitchell 10-4 on January 19th and Aberdeen 5-2 on January 11th.

The Capitals have seen three of the five teams they will play in the next six games and Steele says that helps with the preparation into the games…

The Capitals have had issues of starting slow and Steele says he’s trying different ways to prevent it from happening before the game begins…

Saturday is Pink the Rink day for the Capitals. Games begin at 9:00 with the varsity game ending the day beginning at 7:00.
