Oahe Capitals in Mitchell, Aberdeen Looking to Remain Perfect

After two tough grueling wins last weekend at home, the Oahe Capitals are back on the road to face the Mitchell Marlins on Saturday and the Aberdeen Cougars on Sunday as they seek to remain undefeated in league play.

The Caps picked up a 3-1 win on Saturday against Huron and then a 5-4 win on Sunday to Sioux Falls 1. The Capitals had a great weekend of goal tending from Carter Schulz and Kieran Duffy and will look for the same this coming weekend while also finding its groove offensively. The Caps were held scoreless on the powerplay last weekend as the percentage continues to fall below the mark of what the Head Coach of the Capitals, Steve Steele would like to see. Steele says, however, they didn’t spend any extra time on it…

The Caps saw both Mitchell and Aberdeen in the preseason going undefeated against both but Steele says you can’t take them lightly…

And Steele says they need to stick their game to remain undefeated in league play…

The Caps and Marlins will have puck drop at 8:30 on Saturday and then on Sunday at 4:30 between the Caps and Cougars. Both games can still be heard on Capital City Rock and capitalcityrock.com with Jon Winkler on the call.
