Oahe Capitals Pee Wee A come out victorious with a two game sweep against Yankton Miracle

The long drive to Yankton did not deter the Pee Wee A team from getting focused and ready to play hockey.  The Cap’s won both games this weekend with scores of 8-1 and 5-2 against Yankton Miracle.

Seven players contributed with goals on Saturday including Corbin Beastron, Andre Carbonneau, Devin Dodson, Nick Gray, Keller Herman, Alex McIntire, and Barret Schweitzer.  The Cap’s had 7 assists in that game as well which shows the team work these boys are showing.

Sunday’s game was a bit more exciting.  Goals scored by Gray, Dodson and Schweitzer got the Capitals the lead.  It was a fast paced last couple of minutes with the defensive players focused on keeping the puck in the zone and the offensive players doing everything they could to get a goal to secure the win.

The Cap’s found themselves up 3-2 with 1:41 left and Dodson scores a goal giving the Capitals a little breathing room.  A face off occurs and Jarron Beck gets the puck and skates it down the ice and at 1:19 left in the game he scores the last goal of the weekend.  The Capitals had 9 players with goals and/or assists.

The Capitals record is 5-5 with League play continuing next weekend against the Rushmore Thunder out in Rapid City.
