The Oahe Capitals boys varsity hockey team was in action this weekend as they traveled to Huron Friday night and hosted Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon.
On Friday night the Capital would head east to Huron and pick up their first win of the new year 2-1. Spencer Wedin would have both goals in the game. The Capitals would have the advantage in shots on goal with 39 compared to Huron’s 21. Tristian Fuerst would have 20 saves.
On Sunday the Capitals would take on Aberdeen in their first home game of the new year. The Caps would dominate this one from start to finish winning this game 5-1. Scoring goals for the Capitals were Wedin, Talon Greise, Clay Ambach with two and Jacob Molseed topped it off in the end. Tate Mueller had nine saves.
The Capitals will be on the road next weekend as they will travel to take on Fremont on Saturday and Sunday.
