Oahe Capitals Travel to Rapid City

The Oahe Capitals picked up three points out of a possible four last weekend and that one point against Sioux Falls on Saturday was one of the biggest points of the year. Tonight, they travel to Rapid City to take on Rushmore who they beat 3-2 back in the season opener. The Thunder started 0-4 on the year but have won nine consecutive games since then. The Thunder sit in third place, three points back of the Capitals who are a single point behind the Flyers for first in the league. Tate Mueller will look for win number 11 in net tonight as he remains solid in net for the Caps.

Talon Griese started on defense on Saturday because of his heel injury but jumped back to playing as a forward for the third period when the Capitals struck for three goals and scored six goals in Sunday’s win. He remains leading the league in assists with 23, nine better than the next player. Spencer Wedin has overtaken Griese in the league lead in points as he now has 33 while Griese has 31. The duo looks to light up the scoreboard again tonight from the Thunderdome.

Puck drop from Rapid City will be at 8:00 Mountain time. You can listen to the game tonight on Capital City Rock and capitalcityrock.com with the pregame show starting at 8:40 and faceoff at 9:00 with Jon Winkler on the call.
