Oahe Speedway Opens Season

The sounds of racing filled the empty grandstands this weekend at Oahe Speedway…

The Oahe Speedway opened up their season over the Memorial Day weekend with racing both Saturday and Sunday with no spectators. Only team personnel were allowed to come to the Speedway as 10 people were permitted to be a part of each pit crew. But that didn’t stop the racers from coming out in big numbers. Marla Huse, Oahe Racers Association board president, says Saturday morning was a big beginning to the season…

Huse says without spectators the sales will obviously be a little lower but more drivers will help…

The speedway took extra precautions to keep them social distanced including moving picnic tables and keeping people from congregating. Huse says they took it seriously to make sure all was accommodated…
