Pee Wee C’s Head to State Tournament in Yankton

The Pee Wee C team traveled to Rapid City Saturday to take on the 1st place Rushmore Thunder.   Keegan Kitts had two goals and Liam Livermont added one to take the game into overtime. Despite out shooting their opponents 4-2 in the OT period the Capital’s ended the game in a tie.

Sunday the C team faced off against Sioux Falls.  Kitts again got the game started with an unassisted goal.  That was followed up by a goal from Tanner Ondell from a Jonas Farmen assist.  Both Kitts and Ondell would go on to complete hat tricks in the game.  Farmen would add another assist, with Asher VandenBos adding a goal and assist.  Liam Livermont would also add an assist.  The Capital’s out shot their opponents 23-10 with Jaxon Jungwirth stopping all 10 shots.

The Capital’s go into this weekend’s state tournament seeded 3rd and will face the Watertown Lakers in the first round.
