The Pierre Governor boys basketball team stormed out in the second half as they dominated the Douglas Patriots to a 69-53 win picking up back to back wins this week.
The Governors trailed at the break 29-28 but held the Patriots to just four points in the third to roll out to a 14 point lead adding an extra two points in the fourth for the 16 point win. Jackson Edman led all scores with 18 points while Matthew Hanson, Lincoln Kienholz and James Mikkonen all scored in double figures for the Governors who are now 3-5 on the year while the Patriots fall to 3-5 on the year.
These two teams will meet again next week Friday in Pierre’s next game. The Patriots will face Rapid City Stevens on Tuesday prior to meeting the Govs again. Next Friday’s game will be on Today’s KCCR and todayskccr.com with Jon Winkler on the call.
