Pierre City Commission Approves Date Changes For Pierre School District Homecoming Activities

(KCCR) — The Pierre School District is rebooting activities for homecoming because of a spike in Covid-19 cases in the District. Athletic Director Brian Moser says they should be celebrating homecoming this week…

That also means a change is needed for the homecoming parade…

Moser says he appreciates the cooperation the School District gets from the city…

The Pierre City Commission gave unanimous approval for date changes to a request to discharge fireworks following the homecoming football game to October 16th from September 25th and the homecoming parade to October 13th from September 22nd. School officials will need to obtain new approvals for the parade from the State Department of Transportation for holding the parade over some portions of state highways through Pierre.
