The Pierre City Commission gets back to work tonight with a regular weekly meeting. Commissioners will consider approval of the minutes from the December 19th meeting and claims. Three public hearings are set for unfinished business. All three are set for 5:45 P-M. They are for an on-off sale malt beverage license for Alley Cat Casino and two regarding the Pierre Regional Airport. One is an airport lease agreement for Hangar 101 with JCP Leasing Incorporated. The second is a lease agreement for the Fixed Base Operator City Air Carrier. The Commission will also consider awarding a bid for improvements to the city’s electrical distribution system. In New Business, Commissioners will consider winter senior programming and related fees and a request to bid for the new city hall renovation project. Commissioners will also consider official declarations for 2018. They include setting a date for a combined election and designation of the city’s official newspaper. The city will also declare its official depositories. The Commission is tentatively scheduled to meet in executive session for legal issues. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 P-M in the Commission room of the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
