The Pierre City Commission is set to meeting in regular session after meeting in executive session last night. Commissioners will consider approval of the consent calendar which includes hiring employees in the Electric Department, Library and Fire Department along with appointments to the Historic Preservation Committee. In unfinished business, Commissioners will consider a request to Re-bid improvements to the electrical distribution system. The Commission will consider seven items of new business including a memorandum of understanding with Hughes County Emergency Management for an alert system. Also up for consideration is a bid for fire department bunker gear and a request to purchase a new pickup for the fire department. Commissioners will consider a revision to the work at the Dan Kelly Field Concessions and Bathroom project and two plat requests. City office hours for the day after Thanksgiving will also be announced. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM in the Commission room of the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
