(KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Two proclamations will start the meeting during Special Business. They include proclamations for both Earth Day and Arbor Day. Commissioners will consider approval of a five-item Consent Calendar. On the Calendar are minutes from the April 9th meeting, raffle requests from the Girl Scouts and Pierre Fire Department, the setting of a public hearing for April 23 for a rezoning request filed by Jack and Beth Dokken and the claims. New business includes discussing the route for the Run with the Gov’s event and a request to surplus equipment from the Pierre Fire Department. Commissioners will consider a contract amendment with Burbach Aquatics, an amendment to a resolution regarding the bond for water treatment plant work and a request to abate property taxes by Keith Fisk. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
