Pierre/Fort Pierre Area Community Foundations Partners With State Community Foundation To Award 10 Local Groups Grant Money

(KCCR) — The Pierre/Fort Pierre Area Community Foundation along with the South Dakota Community Foundation have granted over 27-thousand dollars to ten local nonprofit organizations. The groups have combined to gift out 27-thousand, 730-dollars to Pierre Area Referral Service; Oahe YMCA; Community Youth Involved; Junior Achievement; HEAD Start; Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area; Verendrye Museum; Capital City Baseball Association; Pierre Concert Association; Oahe Hockey and Canvasback Art Club. The largest grant of seven-thousand dollars was awarded to PARS in a partnership with the Bernie Christenson Feed the Children Fund. The Oahe YMCA is getting three-thousand 280-dollars for a sunshade over a playground. The Pierre/Fort Pierre Area Community Foundation funding 15-thousand 730-dollars of the total amount granted.
