In Day Two of the State Golf tournament, the Pierre Governors stayed steady again and shot a 343, only 10 shot different than Monday and finished in seventh place.
Nick Bothun shot the best for the Governors at a 79 on the day as he finished tied for 29th on the tournament. Sawyer Sonnenschein who finished three shots off the lead in day one and finished tied for 20th on the tournament as he shot an 86 on day two for Pierre. Luke Olson had an 87 on day two while Lincoln Houska had a 91. Jack Bartlett and Jonathan Lyons had a 97 and 106 respectively for the six Governors who competed in the state tournament.
Sioux Falls Lincoln won the team championship, five shots better than Watertown who was second. Nate Stenberg for the Patriots won the state title by five shots as he finished two over for the entire tournament. Kaden Rylance of Watertown finished in second with a seven over.
The six Governors at the state tournament will all return in 2021.
