Pierre Governor Soccer Two Weeks from Start

Last season the Pierre Governor boys soccer team had a new coach take the helm. Now, Matt DeBoer begins year two in two weeks as the soccer teams will open up the season at home against Brandon Valley on Friday, August 14.

Last year the team went 2-7-2 on the season but return one of the best goalkeepers in the state in Cameron Ahartz to help continue to build the program and build off of last year. DeBoer says this summer has been good even with the limitations…

Last year when DeBoer arrived, his focus was on changing the culture for Pierre soccer. Now he wants to continue to build on that and is already seeing the change…

The soccer teams will be the first sports to play this fall for Pierre and DeBoer relishes in the opportunity…

And DeBoer says everybody is ready to go for the season…
