Pierre Governors Head to the Dome Again, Face Huron for Title

The Pierre Governors are heading back to Vermillion after another dominating performance on Friday against the Brookings Bobcats winning 40-7. The Govs allowed just one first down in the first quarter and built a 21-0 lead before the Bobcats were able to find the end zone in the second quarter. Garret Stout had another impressive game taking an 80 yard run to the house early in the game. Jack Maher blocked another punt, his second in the last three games, but this time picked up the loose ball in the end zone for a touchdown. The Governors will take on Huron in a rematch from September 14th when the Governors beat the Tigers 34-7 in the capital city. That game will be on Today’s KCCR and todayskccr.com with pregame at 7:10 and kickoff at 7:30. Myself and Greg Dean will be on the call.
