Pierre Govs Boy’s Basketball Drops Both Games This Weekend

The Pierre Govs boys’ basketball team was in action at home this weekend with a game Friday with Rapid City Stevens and Saturday they took on Rapid City Central.

On Friday night they Govs would battle hard and had opportunities to bring home a victory but just came up short. The Govs would lose a tough one 63-57. The Govs would have three players in double figures; Peyton Zabel had 23, Garrett Stout had 16 and Carson Tschetter who had 15 all of his points came from three’s. Leading the way for the Raiders in scoring was Cooper Bowman had 15.

The Govs would take on Rapid City Central on Saturday afternoon and battled hard all game long just came up short in the fourth quarter as they would lose 57-37. Leading the way in scoring for the Govs once again was Zabel he had 15 as Carson Tschetter had nine. Leading the way in scoring for the Cobblers was Dylan Hay with 16.  With the two loses the Govs record drops to 1-6.

The Govs will have another back to back nights again coming up on Thursday and Friday. They will welcome Brandon Valley on Thursday and Brookings on Friday both games will start at 7 pm.
