Pierre Govs Struggle On The Road

The Pierre Govs boys’ basketball team made their first road trip of the season last night as they traveled to Harrisburg to take on the fourth ranked Tigers in AA.

Harrisburg’s sharp shooting in the beginning turned out to be too much for the Govs as Harrisburg wins this game 74-30. This was Harrisburgs first game of the season so they go to 1-0 on the year as the Govs drop to 0-2.

Leading the way in scoring last night for the Govs was Grey Zabel with 10, Peyton Zabel had seven and Carson Tschetter had five. Leading the way for the Tigers in scoring was Chase Altenburg he had 20 and Blair Slaughter had 11.

The Govs will get the rest of the week off before they head back out on the road for a double header with Yankton. The girls will play at 4 pm and the boys at 6 pm. You’ll be able to hear that game on Capital City Rock 104.5 FM and capitalcityrock.com.
