Both Post 22 Expos and Post 8 Jr. Legion had their offenses going on Tuesday, but Pierre eventually succumbed 12-7 in the high-scoring affair in game one of the doubleheader Despite the loss, Post 8 did collect 13 hits in the high-scoring affair with Elliot Leif going 4-4 from the plate to lead the team. Unfortunately, Post 22 Expos had 11 hits on the way to victory. Post 8 fired up the offense in the second inning as Bennett Dean drew a walk, bringing home a run. In the top of the third inning, Post 22 Expos tied things up at two but pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning and adding four more runs in the fifth inning. Post 8 put up four runs in the seventh inning led by Isaac Polak, Isaak Rombough, and Leif, all driving in runs in the inning. Justin Houlette took the loss for Post 8. He allowed four hits and three runs over one inning, striking out two and walking one.
Post 8 fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-7 loss to Post 22 Expos in the second game of the doubleheader. Post 8 lost despite out-hitting Post 22 Expos 15-10. Rapid City Post 22 scored five runs in the first inning to open up the ball game. However, Post 8 scored four runs in the third inning as Aaron Booth and Gary Nedved each had RBIs in the big inning. Collin Brueggeman took the loss as he surrendered ten runs on nine hits over five and a third innings, striking out two. Isaac Polak, Booth, Jacob Larson, Justin Houlette, and Bennett Dean all managed multiple hits for Post 8. Polak went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
