Pierre Man Arrested For Giving Police A Fake ID Tied To Recent Theft

A 19 year-old Pierre man was arrested Tuesday in connection to a recent theft. Officers responded to the 400 block of West Capitol Avenue just after 10:45 PM for a request to have an intoxicated party removed from a residence. Officers made contact with the subject who presented them with a fictitious name. Courtney Ironshell was arrested for false impersonation with the intent to deceive and underage consumption of alcohol. As officers continued their investigation, they discovered Ironshell to be a suspect in a theft in the 800 block of East Wells Avenue. Due to the theft investigation, Ironshell is also facing charges of petty theft. Ironshell was then taken to the Hughes County Jail.
