Pierre Man Pleads Guilty To Possession Of LSD And Marijuana

A 20 year-old Pierre man has admitted to felony drug possession in Stanley County. Tristian Tuffs pled guilty Wednesday to having L-S-D and marijuana with him when he was arrested May 27th on multiple drug related charges. Tuffs was arrested along with a second man, Wyatt Frisby after being stopped by a South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper. Circuit Judge Mark Barnett accepted Tuffs guilty pleas after Tuffs provided factual basis for the pleas. Barnett ordered a presentence investigation. Tuffs is currently free on bond, pending sentencing, which is scheduled for January 30th at 9 A-M. Tuffs could be facing 15 years in prison, five for the L-S-D possession and 10 for having between one and ten pounds of marijuana.
