Pierre School Board Approves First Reading On Changes To Meal Charging

That extra dime in your pocket may come in handy if you’re an adult looking for breakfast in the Pierre School District. The change is tied into a National School Lunch program requirement due to Jefferson Elementary School being found as a “Severe Need” breakfast program school by the State. Marso says another change they will try as a pilot program is email notification of low or negative balance lunch accounts. The ten-cent adult breakfast increase is effective immediately.
