The Pierre School Board is meeting twice, sort of, tonight. Board members will meet at 4:30 P-M in the Board Room at the Pierre School District Administration building to hold a forum with District 24 lawmakers about the upcoming legislative session. A regular scheduled meeting will be held after that at 5:30 P-M. Board members will consider approval of the consent calendar and will hear comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board members will then be free to make comments followed by input from the Riggs Student Senate. The Pierre School Board will get an update from the Riggs Music Department and will hear from Brian Moser regarding Live Streaming. A report on student numbers and staffing at Georgia Morse Middle School is also on tonight’s agenda. Board members will consider final reading of a proposed school board policy change on charging for school lunches. Other items up for consideration include the audit report for fiscal year 2016-17, substitute pay schedule for nurse substitutes, donations, resignations, out-of-district open enrollments and amended contracts. The Pierre School Board meeting is open to the community.
