Pierre Soccer Hosts Huron after Road Trip

The Pierre Soccer teams were in Rapid City last weekend as they boys went 1-1 and the girls tied both matches against Rapid City Stevens and Rapid City Central. Today, both teams will be back at home as they look for two wins against the Huron Tigers.

The boys team will face the Tigers first, as Huron is 3-3-0 on the year with a tale of two teams when the win compared to when they lose. In their three wins, the Tigers are outscoring their opponents 21-5, but in three losses, the Tigers have been outscored 10-4. Defensively, the Tigers have not recorded a shutout and have allowed multiple goals in every game except for the Sturgis 4-1 victory.

The girls’ team will play in the nightcap against the Tigers who have yet to win a match this season. They tied Sturgis 0-0 and lost to Garretson 2-1, but other than those two matches, the Tigers have lost by multiple goals every match and have scored just two goals all season as they have been outscored 32-2 and 0-5-1 on the year.

Kickoff is set for 4:00 for the boys match and 6:00 for the girls. You can listen to both matches on Today’s KCCR and todayskccr.com with Jon Winkler on the call.
