Pierre Trappers Can’t Find Series Sweep

In a back and forth game on Thursday which saw three Pierre natives play, the Pierre Trappers were unable to pick up the sweep of the Badlands Big Sticks in a 10-7 loss.

Garrett Stout was the starting pitcher for the Trappers as he went four innings giving up four earned runs on two hits, five walks and four strike outs. Pierre lost the lead in the fourth were able to pull all the way back to down one before the Big Sticks added another two in the top of the ninth.

Spencer Sarringar and Andrew Coverdale combined for three hits and an RBI each as Sarringar hit over .500 for the Trappers in the few short games he played with the team.

Sarringar, who will be a Redshirt-Junior at Northern this year says it was great to play with former teammates again…

Stout says the experience was pretty cool…

And Coverdale says the guys were really accepting and helpful when he arrived on Wednesday…

The Trappers will host Hastings this weekend in the final weekend series of the year. First pitch on Friday and Saturday are at 7:05 and 4:05 on Sunday.
